City Partnership Program Roadshows

April 15- 16, 2016, Kitakyushu City, Kobe City- Tokyo Development Learning Center (TDLC) conducted a 2-day roadshow in Kitakyushu City and Kobe City in order to promote better understanding of City Partnership Program (CPP).

CPP was launched in March, 2016, aiming to support and facilitate strategic collaboration with selected cities in Japan for joint research (to identify and document best practices), knowledge exchange and identifying/building on opportunities to link Japanese expertise with specific project-level engagements in developing countries. The deadline for submitting EOIs for the first batch of selection is April 30th, 2016.

April 15, 2016, Visit to Kitakyushu City TDLC team visited Kitakyushu City Hall to provide explanation of CPP. Team also visited an automobile recycling firm and Kitakyushu Eco Town.

April 16, 2016, Visit to Kobe City TDLC team visited Kobe City Hall to provide explanation of CPP and met with Rwanda partnership team who are providing IT training to Rwandese students. Team also visited Kobe Port Island, which was well developed after Great Hanshin Earthquake, and Graduate School of Information Technology.

In addition to the visits to Kitakyushu City and Kobe City, TDLC team visited Yokohama City and Toyama City in January, 2016.
